Max Temperature
Temperature increases as one approaches the equator (latitude 0). There is a large number of cities in the nothern hemisphere that are colder than the temperature range seen in the southern hemisphere.
The two areas of highest density in a joint plot of latitiude and temperature are near latitude 0 with a temperature of 80 degrees and near latitude 50 with a temperature just below 60 degrees.
